RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after three young kittens were abandoned in a box in Caerphilly.
The kittens, two tabby and one black, were found by a member of the public on Friday, November 3, on a lane in Ffordd Erw, Caerphilly.
The three kittens are being hand-reared due to their age, believed to be around three weeks.
Selina Griffiths, RSPCA inspector, said: “These little kittens were screaming, and appeared very unsettled, when RSPCA Cymru collected them.
“It’s unthinkable why anybody would deem it acceptable to dump these poor defenceless kittens in a lane like this.
“Sadly, this is one of a number of dumped cat and kitten incidences RSPCA Cymru officers have been responding to.
“We’re eager to find out what happened to these kittens – and we’re urging anyone in the Caerphilly area with information to contact our inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls to this number are treated in confidence.”
