Bedwas pupils share anti-drink drive message

Pupils from Bedwas High School have won a council poster competition to warn of the dangers of drink driving.

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s road safety team arranges the competition every year and Bedwas pupils have now made it three wins in a row.

A presentation took place on Friday, December 15, where the overall winner Ellie Austen and runners-up Tegan Fletcher and Tahlia Edwards were presented with awards.

The council said all three were “outstanding entries” are now on display at Ty Penallta in Ystrad Mynach and will be used on the Council’s website and social media over the Christmas period.

Cllr Sean Morgan, Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, said: “Congratulations to Bedwas High School on another successful year with the Road Safety Poster Competition. Well done to Ellie, Tegan and Tahlia on their fantastic designs which definitely send home the hard hitting message of the dangers of drink driving.”

    Well done all !
    All entries clearly convey the message “Don’t Drink and Drive” – together with the consequences of choosing to ignore the warning.
