Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel and Spa, based in Maesycwmmer, has expanded with a new 500 sq m suite.

The Fairway Suite, overlooking the resort’s 18-hole golf course, has two function rooms and can cater for more than 300 guests.

The semi-permanent expansion, funded with a six-figure finance deal from HSBC, has created 12 new full-time jobs and 20 new part-time jobs.

Gary Mayo, owner of Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel and Spa said: “The new event suite will completely transform the experience we can offer our customers and we’ve been thrilled at the level of support we’ve received from our HSBC Relationship Manager, Joel Dunning, who has created a tailored finance plan for this expansion.

“As a result of HSBC’s support we no longer need to hire temporary marquees for seasonal events and can now host hundreds of guests under one roof all year round.”

Alan Thomas, HSBC’s Area Director for South Wales, added: “With more than 40 years’ experience in the hotel industry, Gary and his family have helped Bryn Meadows go from strength-to-strength since the business was formed in 1973.”
