The A472 northbound between Gelligroes and Pentwynmawr has been reopened after it closed following a crash.

A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said: “We had a call at about 9.45am reporting a collision involving a truck on the A472.

“At this time it doesn’t appear the driver has any serious injuries. A lamp post has been damaged and the council are dealing with this aspect and the road was closed for this reason.”

The road reopened at around 12.10pm.
