Police are hunting two men who robbed a Carphone Warehouse store in Caerphilly town, stealing phones and a tablet worth a total of £2,000.

The robbery happened at 12.30pm today, Monday, January 22, 2018.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called following reports that two men had stolen mobile phones from a shop on Castle Court in Caerphilly.

“The incident took place at approximately 12.30pm on Monday, January 22, 2018.

“Two men entered the shop wearing what is believed to be balaclavas.

“Four iPhones were stolen along with a Samsung tablet. The total value of the stolen item is approximately £2000.

“If anyone witnessed this theft or has any information please call 101 quoting log 208 22/1/18 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

The same store was also targeted by thieves in October last year when four Samsung mobiles worth £3,000 were stolen.
