The death of a 40-year-old man whose body was found in woods near Draethen yesterday is not being treated as suspicious, Gwent Police has confirmed.
Gwent Police, Welsh Ambulance and a crew from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were all called to the car park at Llwyn Hir, which is between Rudry and Draethen, yesterday.
Police said the body of the man was discovered at around 12.15pm yesterday, Tuesday, March 6.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said officers had been making enquiries in the area earlier as they were concerned for the welfare of a man. She confirmed the age of the deceased was 40-years-old and that his death was not being treated as suspicious.
