Greyhound Rescue Wales is turning heads in Blackwood with a series of shop window displays made from upcycled goods.

The charity’s high street shop has included displays of a dress created from music sheets and an outfit, complete with top hat, made from playing cards.

The artwork is the brainchild of Greyhound Rescue Wales’ head of retail Judy Badcock, shop manager Justin Nicholls, deputy manager Michelle Jones and a talented team of volunteers.

Judy said: “I had a vision that the shop would stand out in the high street and I was able to create a boutique style environment.

“Blackwood is a very close-knit community, where the many friends we have made over the years will pop in for a chat.”

The Blackwood shop is always in need of new volunteers and donations of good quality clothes, books, toys and bric-a-brac,and can be contacted on 01495 223790.
