Rock band Thunder will be playing this summer at Caerphilly Castle

Rock band Thunder will headline Caerphilly Castle this summer – the fourth concert to be announced for the historic venue.

The show is the final announcement of the 2018 series of Caerphilly Castle shows which will also see The Bootleg Beatles (June 15, The Levellers (June 16) and The Selecter and The Beat feat. Ranking Roger (July 13) perform at Wales’ largest castle.

Since forming in 1989,the Londoners have established themselves among the UK’s most consistent performers,notching up 20 Top 50 singles and cultivating a well-deserved reputation as consummate live performers.

Support for this show comes from Pontypridd-based rock band Hand of Dimes and Cats in Space.

• Thunder will be at Caerphilly Castle on Saturday, July 14. Tickets are available to buy at Ticketmaster.

The four concerts are being promoted by Orchard Entertainment,which brought Ocean Colour Scene and Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley to Caerphilly Castle in 2016.
