Free of charge Welsh language support service on offer to businesses

Business, News | | Published: 17:11, Tuesday June 12th, 2018.

Small businesses across Wales will be able to access free of charge Welsh language support thanks to a new Welsh for Business scheme.

The service is a Welsh Government initiative that forms part of the long-term vision to see a million people speaking and using Welsh by 2050.

Welsh for Business officers will offer a wide range of support services including translation of menus, social media messages and promotional materials.

Huw Rowlands, the business officer for Caerphilly County Borough, said: “Welsh for Business officers are there for any small businesses who want to benefit from increased customer loyalty, stronger brand identity, better business practice, a sense of place and to engage more effectively with the Welsh speakers and learners.

“I look forward to meeting the small businesses of Caerphilly County who want to capitalise on this opportunity and engage with the Welsh language in a way that will be advantageous for both them and their customer base.”
