A mother-of-three who opened her own gift shop in Crumlin has been shortlisted for a national business award.

Hanna Ferguson opened gift shop Eclectica last year and has been nominated in the community category at the 2018 Mpower National Business Awards, which recognises the contribution mums in business make.

As well as being shortlisted for her category, Hanna is also in with a chance of winning the title of Mpower Woman Of The Year 2018, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business.

Hanna said “I was completely overwhelmed and humbled to find out that I was in the finals after only a year in business, and at a national business awards, it just goes to show that if you follow your dreams enough they come true.

“Can’t wait to find a dress to match my shoes.”

Nicola Huelin, multi-award winning business coach and founder of the Mpower awards said: “Often invisible to most, mums in business are changing the business landscape, while raising and inspiring the generations of the future.

Judging Hanna’s entry will be a panel of top parent entrepreneurs but she’ll have to wait until June 23, when the winners will be announced in London.
