Police have confirmed that a driver who collided with four parked cars in Llanbradach was driving without insurance.

Several vehicles were left damaged after a car collided with parked vehicles on Wingfield Crescent at around 7.30pm on Sunday, August 5.

A CCTV recording shows a silver Saab travelling down the residential street and colliding with several parked vehicles before coming to a stop.

There were no reports of injuries at the scene.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “At approximately 7.25pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving five vehicles in Wingfield Crescent, Llanbradach.

“A man was spoken to by officers at the scene, and was reported to the DVLA for driving without due care and attention, and having no insurance.”

Gwent Police also confirmed that the man was breathalysed and tested for drug driving at the scene, but was negative on both counts.

Driving without due care and attention carries a penalty of three to six penalty points, while driving without a licence carries six to eight points.
