Night time closures announced for Pwllypant roundabout

A number of night time road closures are to take place as part of the £5 million scheme to improve the Pwllypant Cedar Tree roundabout in Caerphilly.

The closures will happen between 7pm and 6pm on Wednesday, September 5, Thursday, September 6, and Friday, September 7.

The closures will allow for road surfacing to be laid on the approaches to the roundabout as well as on the roundabout itself.

Details of the closures are as follows:

Wednesday September 5: 7pm to 6am – no access to traffic travelling towards Pwllypant roundabout from Trecenydd roundabout. No entry to or exit from Heol Pwllypant from Pwllypant roundabout. No access to traffic travelling on the Llanbradach arm (northbound) from Pwllypant roundabout

Thursday September 6: 7pm to 6am – no access to traffic travelling towards Pwllypant roundabout from Llanbradach arm (southbound). No access to or from Corbett’s Lane. No access towards Bedwas from Pwllypant roundabout.

Friday September 7: 7pm to 6am – no access to traffic travelling from direction of Bedwas (Bedwas arm) towards Pwllypant roundabout. No access to or exit from Pwllypant roundabout from Pontygwindy Road. No access towards Trecenydd roundabout (Trecenydd arm) from Pwllypant roundabout.

Where possible, diversion routes will be put in place and will be clearly signposted. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
