Pupils from Trinant Primary School attended the first National SkillForce Prince William Award Graduation Ceremony at the University of Birmingham recently.

The pupils received prizes and certificates from The Duke of Cambridge and TV star and children’s author David Walliams for completing the first stage of the Prince William Award.

Year 6 at Trinant Primary School completed the 36-week programme, which is taught by predominantly former armed forces personnel, through a range of practical and classroom based activities and includes regular reflection on what pupils are learning and how their character is developing.

The Prince William Award helps young children between the ages of six and 14 develop good character, confidence and resilience and is designed in three stages.
