A 34-year-old man from the Crosskeys area has been arrested in relation to reports of a serious sexual assault in the Queensway area of Newport.
Gwent Police said the attack happened between 3.30am and 4am on Sunday, October 21, in a recess at the entrance to a locked car park off Queensway, between the junctions for Cambrian Road and Station Street, and to the left of the Admiral Building.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, continues to be supported by specialist officers.
