Two Caerphilly-based businesses are in the running for the Royal seal of approval as they take part in the Pitch@Palace scheme.

Founded by HRH The Duke of York in 2014 to support entrepreneurs, Pitch@Palace helps entrepreneurs to connect with some of the country’s leading investors.

NearMeNow and Four Minutes, both based at the Welsh Innovation Centre for Enterprise in Caerphilly, are in the running for a People’s Choice Award, after making it to the final at an event in Wrexham earlier this year.

Four Minutes is an emergency first aid training company that uses mixed reality technology to empower people worldwide to step up in an emergency, starting with school children.

NearMeNow is an app designed to revitalise the high street, allowing independent businesses to collaborate, advertise, communicate and interact with their customers.

The public can vote for their choice by visiting Peopleschoice.pitchatpalace.com.
