Three men arrested in connection with gang rape in Abertridwr

Police have arrested three men after a 32-year-old woman was gang raped at an address in Abertridwr.

It is thought that five or six men took part in the assault which happened between 4pm on Saturday, November 24, and 9am Sunday, November 25.

The attack happened at an address on High Street. On Sunday, the house where the rape took place had its windows smashed by members of the public and a car was also damaged.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “We are investigating reports of a serious sexual assault, which took place at an address in the Abertridwr area on the evening of Saturday, November 24.

“The victim, a 32-year-old woman, is being supported by specialist officers at this time, as enquiries continue.

“Detectives have arrested three men in relation to this incident. A 32-year-old from the Abertridwr area and two 28-year-olds from the Cardiff area are currently in custody.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
