Detectives have arrested a fourth man in connection with an alleged gang rape in Abertridwr.
A 35-year-old man from the Bolton area was arrested by Gwent Police and is in custody.
A 32-year-old woman was raped at a property on High Street, Abertridwr, by several men. The attack is thought to have happened sometime between around 4pm on Saturday, November 24, and 9am Sunday, November 25.
On Sunday, the house where the rape took place had its windows smashed by members of the public.
Hemin Kamal Salimpirik, 32, of High Street, Abertridwr, appeared before Newport Magistrates on Friday, November 30, charged with rape. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Newport Crown Court on January 2.
Two 28-year-old men from the Cardiff area, who were also arrested following the incident, were released pending further investigation.
