The incidents happened on Heol Edward Lewis in Gelligaer

Police are hunting a man said to be “intimidating” children in Gelligaer.

Three separate reports have been lodged with officers who are investigating.

The first incident took place at around 4pm on Wednesday, December 5, when an unknown man got out of a silver car in the vicinity of Heol Edward Lewis, before running toward a 15-year-old girl in an “intimidating manner”, without saying anything.

The second happened at 8am on Thursday, December 6, when an 11-year-old girl was approached by an unknown man in similar circumstances in the same area.

Later that day at 6pm, a nine-year-old boy was prevented from crossing the road.

Gwent Police said that while the incidents were distressing for the children involved, they were not harmed in any way.

Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting log number 477 of 6/12/18.
