Costa Coffee could be set to open a drive-thru store in Caerphilly town.
The coffee chain, which is now owned by Coca Cola after its sale from Whitbread, has applied for planning permission to convert the former Pizza Hut store in Gallagher Retail Park.
The building would be partially-demolished and revamped as part of the plans, which include an outdoor seating area.
A planning application has been submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council to change the building’s signage.
The premises has been empty since 2016, when Pizza Hut closed its doors, and was hit by a deliberate fire in February 2017.
There had been previous interest in the former restaurant by rival coffee chain Tim Hortons.
