Male voice choir and Miss Wales finalist to star in St Martin’s Church concert

Aber Valley Male Voice Choir and Miss Wales finalist Katy Farr will be performing at a concert in St Martins Church, Caerphilly.

The concert will start at 7pm this Friday, January 18, with refreshments available.

Tickets can be bought on the door for £10 and there will be a raffle, with the proceeds going towards improvement works at St Catherine’s Church on Mill Road.

The profits raised will fund work to extend the fire exit and fix the drains at St Catherine’s.

The Aber Valley Male Voice Choir, which is based in Senghenydd, was founded in 1959 and has performed across Britain and Europe.

The choir is made up of 58 singers who perform a variety of genres, including classic rock, West End hits, opera and traditional Welsh hymns.

They will be joined by Katy, who will sing a number of songs from The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.

Katy, who is from Caerphilly, will also be taking part in a five-kilometre race in Bute Park, Cardiff on Sunday, February 3 to raise funds for Beauty With A Purpose, a charity that supports disadvantaged children throughout the world.
