The school sent out a message asking parents to be vigilant after the “tablet” was found in one of the birthday cakes handed out to pupils.
It is unclear whether the cakes were home-made or shop-bought or under what circumstances they were given to pupils aged between seven and nine.
It is also unknown what the tablet is or how it may have got into the cake.
A spokesman for Caerphilly County Borough Council confirmed it was aware of the incident and that an investigation is currently taking place.
