Three men arrested following reported shooting in Rhymney

Phillips Walk in Rhymney

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with a serious eye injury after he was shot with a ball bearing gun.

The man reported he was shot at while he was in Phillips Walk, Rhymney, at around 10.30pm on Monday, February 25.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the shooting.

A 26-year-old, a 27-year-old and a 25-year old, all from the Rhymney area, have been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm, while the 25-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. All three are in custody.

Police have found a ball bearing gun and are not looking for anyone else.
