Caerphilly poet’s book signing for toddler’s cancer treatment

News | | Published: 09:30, Tuesday March 19th, 2019.

Poet Kelvin Smith will be doing a book signing at the Twyn Community Centre

A Caerphilly-based poet is to hold a book signing event to help raise money for an appeal to send a little boy to America for cancer treatment.

Kelvin Smith’s new book of poetry for children, entitled Poo-etry for Kids, is due to go on sale on May 31 this year.

However, the poet will be selling and signing editions at the Twyn Community Centre, in Caerphilly town, on Saturday March 23 at 2pm.

For every book sold, Mr Smith will donate his royalties to the Jacob’s Fight appeal.

Three-year-old Jacob Jones, from Ebbw Vale, has been diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma and has been given a 34% chance of survival.

His family are trying to raise £250,000 for experimental treatment in America they hope can help him.

Make a donation and find out more about Jacob’s Fight appeal.
