A school for pupils with special educational needs in Ystrad Mynach has received a Careers Wales Mark due to its ‘commitment to continuous quality improvement’.
Trinity Fields school, which teaches pupils aged 11 to 19, has earned the award which has also been received by St Martins School in Caerphilly, Blackwood Comprehensive School, Newbridge School, Coleg-y-Cymoedd in Ystrad Mynach and Coleg Gwent Crosskeys campus.
The Careers Wales Mark is an award given out by Careers Wales to recognise continuous improvement within an educational institution and is designed to help young people gain the skills they need to find future employment.
Ian Elliott MBE, Headteacher of Trinity Fields, said: “I am so pleased that pupils and staff working together has resulted in us receiving the Careers Wales Mark. My thanks to all the pupils and staff in the 14 to 19 learning pathways department for all their hard work.”
