Three men are in hospital after an early morning crash near Machen.
Gwent Police said the crashed white Mitsubishi L200 pick-up had failed to stop for Police in Adamsdown area of Cardiff.
The vehicle was seen on the A48 near Newport, travelling at speed towards Caerphilly.
The vehicle later was found crashed and over turned in woodland near the A468 Machen towards Caerphilly.
Three men from the vehicle were found nearby with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
They are currently receiving treatment in hospital and are helping police with their inquiries.
No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
