More than 150 Easter eggs have been donated to a school in Ystrad Mynach by staff and customers at Sainsbury’s in Pontllanfraith.

The chocolate eggs were presented to Trinity Fields School on Friday, May 10.

Linda Korczynski, from Sainsbury’s, said: “I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated. Without the generosity of customers and colleagues it wouldn’t have been possible.”

Ian Elliot, headteacher at Trinity Fields, said: “We are absolutely delighted with our ongoing partnership with Sainsbury’s in Pontllanfraith.

“I must give a special thank you to Linda from the store, who always thinks about our pupils.

“Many thanks to everyone in the community who donated these wonderful Easter eggs.”

Around 450 donations were made to the Pontllanfraith store, who also gave chocolate eggs to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital and Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny.
