A great-grandfather from Abertridwr who was involved in a car crash has died from his injuries.
The crash happened at the Coryton interchange in Cardiff in the early hours of Friday, April 26.
Gwilym Jones, 76, died from his injuries on Thursday, May 2 at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
In a statement, his family said: “Gwilym Jones was born in Abertridwr, Caerphilly, on January 7, 1943.
“He married Audrey Jean Jones on October 27, 1962. Gwilym had three children – Michelle Davies, Glenn Jones and Kevin Jones.
“He also had nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
“He will be sadly missed by his family.”
Mr Jones had been driving his silver Citroen C3 SX westbound along the M4 before leaving the motorway at Coryton at around 3am.
