Allotment open day in Senghenydd

Aber Valley Community Allotment

An allotment open day will be taking place in Senghenydd on Saturday, June 1.

The Aber Valley Community Allotment group will be taking part in the nationwide Have a Grow event, which is run by the Social Farms and Gardens organisation.

The event aims to get as many community gardens as possible to open their gates and invite local residents in to get tips on growing and harvesting.

Both new and experienced gardeners are welcome.

The site, located on Commercial Street, near Nant-y-Parc Primary School.

The site has a small wildlife pond, as well as bee and insectfriendly areas.

Refreshments will be available on the day.

Disabled access is restricted, but there will be parking available nearby.

The event will run begin at 2pm and finish at 4.30pm.
