Classical concert at the Vanguard Centre

The Vanguard Centre, Van Road

A classical concert will be held at the Vanguard Centre in Caerphilly town centre on Sunday, June 2.

The show will star tenor David Fortey from Only Men Aloud, alongside his wife, soprano Angharad Morgan.

The pair will be joined by accompanist Ryan Wood, who has performed alongside Only Men Aloud, Bridgend Male Choir and more.

The show, which will last an hour, starts at 3pm and will be followed by refreshments.

Mr Fortey, who lives in Ystrad Mynach, said: “I’m very excited. The Vanguard Centre is somewhere we’re lucky to do regular shows at.

“We have a lot of friends here and we’re closely linked.”

Mr Fortey is involved with the management committee of the centre and said: “It’s like a home concert for us.”

Tickets cost £10 and can be bought on the day.
