Bargoed boxer Lauren Price, 24, will be travelling to Minsk, Belarus for the second edition of the European Games.
The games begin on Friday, June 21 and finish on Sunday, June 30.
Price, who was named as best female boxer by GB Boxing last year, is one of 12 boxers chosen to represent Team GB at the competition.
Price is one of two female boxers chosen to represent Britain, alongside Pontypool’s 22-year-old welterweight Rosie Eccles.
Price will be looking to build on a successful 2018, which saw her rise to world number three at middleweight.
Price also won gold for Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, as well as bronze at both the world championships and European championships.
Before making her way to the Eastern European nation on Monday, June 17, Price used Twitter to say: “Next stop Minsk for the European Games. Proud to be representing Team GB. It’s now time to show.”
Price added: “Big shoutout to my sponsors for their ongoing help in the build up to the games, giving me the best opportunity to go and achieve my goals.”
Boxing is one of 15 sports that will be played at the competition.
Athletics, archery, beach football, karate, table tennis and wrestling are among the sports on offer in Minsk.
