A469 collision cyclist in stable condition

The Llanbradach roundabout on the A469

A cyclist involved in a collision with a Land Rover Discovery on the A469 is in a stable condition, police have said.

The crash happened at the Llanbradach roundabout on the busy road at around 9.30am on Saturday, August 3. The A469 was closed for several hours.

The cyclist was taken to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, with serious injuries. The driver of the Land Rover was uninjured.

A Gwent Police spokesman said: “Officers are asking anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Gwent Police on 101 or Direct Message us on Facebook or Twitter, quoting log 146 of 03/08/19. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111.”
