A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention after a road collision with a cyclists.
The crash happened at around 1.40pm on Tuesday, August 27, on the A468 near Lower Machen.
The road was closed for several hours as emergency services attended the scene.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “The extent of her injuries are unknown at this early stage but they are not thought to be life -threatening.
“The male driver of the vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention.”
