Body found in New Tredegar identified as missing Blackwood man

The body of a man found in New Tredegar on Saturday, November 9 has been identified as 37-year-old Gareth Morris from Blackwood.

The body of Mr Morris, who was reported missing on Friday, November 8, was found near New Tredegar Industrial Estate.

Gwent Police say Mr Morris’ family has been informed and his death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

In a statement, Gwent Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Gareth Morris at this difficult time.

“We’d like to thank the public for all their help in continuing to share our appeals for information.”
