A woman charged in connection with a fight at Caerphilly’s Toby Carvery has failed to attend court.

Sarah Louise Pritchard, 35, of Mountain View, Pwllypant, was due to appear before Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 10, charged with assault.

However an arrest warrant was issued after she failed to attend the hearing.

Last month Caerphilly Observer reported how a fight had broken out between two women at the Toby Carvery, which is off the Pwllypant roundabout.

It was reported the women had a disagreement at the gravy station, before the argument spilled over and ended up with the two fighting in the car park.

A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said at the time: “We were called at around 4.20pm on Wednesday, December 11, to reports of a fight between two women at the Toby Carvery in Corbetts Lane, Caerphilly.

“Officers attended and a 35-year-old woman from the Pwllypant area was arrested and has been charged with assault.”
