A burned-out highways van was left abandoned on a public pathway in Caerphilly town for almost two weeks.
The van had been left on the pathway near Porset Brook, Lansbury Park after it caught fire on Friday, January 10.

A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At approximately 9.34pm on January 10, we received a report of a vehicle fire on Bedwas Road in Caerphilly.
“A crew from Caerphilly attended the scene to extinguish the fire.
“A stop message was received at 10:37pm.”

After Caerphilly Observer made enquiries about the van this week, it was eventually removed.
Speaking before its removal, Cllr Elaine Forehead, who represents the St James ward, had called it a danger to the public.
A spokesman for Caerphilly County Borough Council said enquiries about the van were being made.
