A number of drop-in sessions are to be held as part of an effort to stamp out antisocial behaviour in Blackwood.

The sessions will be held between March 25 to April 3.

It follows a spate of antisocial behaviour in the town, including a mass brawl at McDonald’s.

Blackwood councillor Kevin Etheridge is hoping “many residents will come along” and said: “We need to make Blackwood a safer place and stamp out this antisocial behaviour.”

He added: “Following numerous queries from residents and persistent discussions, I promised to keep the community informed of any positive developments in regard to issues within Blackwood.

“Thanks and appreciation must go to the Safer Community Partnership for organising these multi-agency meetings.

“I hope residents will attend and look forward to seeing you there so we can all move forward in a positive way with solutions for our town.”
