Cwmaber Infants School in Abertridwr has become the first infants school in Wales to achieve the Investors in Families Diamond award.

The award is the top in its category and recognises the close working relationship between the school and parents.

Headteacher Jayne Price said: “A successful school comes through developing a strong partnership with home-school links.

“This is fully embedded at Cwmaber Infants and a testament to the work of parents, school governors, staff and volunteers to ensure that all are working towards ensuring the pupils have the best possible experience of school life.”

Chair of governors John Taylor added: “The school’s values and close links with the families ensure that all work closely together to ensure high standards of progression throughout the school.”
