Public Health Wales issued the latest update on Sunday, March 15.
Welsh Health Minister Vaughan Gething has said schools could close for up to 16 weeks and that people over 70 could be asked to self-isolate.
Speaking on BBC Radio Wales he said: “I can guarantee that some of the choices we will have to make in the coming weeks ahead will not be popular.
“We are not going to close schools tomorrow. That is not going to happen.
“Schools may close if it is a necessary measure.”
Issuing the latest update, Dr Giri Shankar, Incident Director for the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “We can confirm that 34 new cases have tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Wales, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 94.
“Public Health Wales is working within the phased approach to tackling the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) outlined in the UK Coronavirus Action Plan – to contain, delay, research and mitigate.”
Change in advice for public
Dr Shanker said the advice to people who think they may have Covid-19 has has changed.
People no longer need to contact NHS 111 if they think they may have contracted the virus.
She said: “Anyone who has a high temperature or a new continuous cough should stay at home for seven days. They should not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
“They should only contact NHS 111 if they feel they cannot cope with their symptoms at home, their condition gets worse, or their symptoms do not get better after seven days.
Supermarkets’ bare shelves
Supermarkets have been busy trying to keep up with demand as shoppers strip shelves ready for any periods of self-isolation.
Toilet rolls, dried foods such as rice and pasta, and frozen foods have all been a priority for people worried about the prospect of self-isolating.
