Police re-appeal for missing man after family member dies

Neil Jones has been reported missing

Gwent Police have re-appealed for information to find missing 39-year-old Neil Jones, from Blackwood.

In a statement, police said Mr Jones’ family had urged him to get in contact after the death of a family member.

Police have said it is linked with the discovery of the body of a 44-year-old man near Highfields Way, Blackwood, on Tuesday, April 14

Mr Jones, who has been described as being 5ft7in tall and of a medium build, was reported missing on February 1. The last reported sighting of him was in Cardiff.

He has links to Blackwood, Risca, Rhymney and west Wales.

Anyone with information on Mr Jones’ whereabouts can contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting reference 2000055389.
