Two men have been arrested following what police described as a “disturbance” at a house in Caerphilly town.

Armed police were called at around 3pm on Sunday, May 10, to the house on Nantgarw Road near to the Caerphilly Players’ building.

A 29-year-old man and a 69-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of affray.

The road was closed until around 5pm with a significant police presence at the scene – including officers in riot gear.

Chief Inspector Ryan Francis tweeted that police negotiators and armed police attended.
