
An arrest has been made after a man was spotted hiding what is believed to be drugs in an electrical substation in Ystrad Mynach.
Police were called at around 8.15pm on Monday night (May 18) and officers attended the scene.
Gwent Police confirmed that white powder and a set of scales were retrieved from the substation on Nelson Road.
The powder is currently being tested by police.
A police spokesperson said: “A 19-year-old man from Cefn Hengoed was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug (Class A), possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and aquire/use/possess criminal property.”
The man has been released under investigation.
