Four arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after police helicopter called to Caerphilly

Four people were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after the police helicopter was called to Caerphilly.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “We received two calls yesterday evening, June 24, relating to incidents of disorder in Caerphilly.

“One at approximately 11.15pm on Davies Drive [Churchill Park] and a second at approximately 11.40pm on The Grange [Second Avenue, Trecenydd].

“Four people have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. A 27-year-old man from Caerphilly, a 30-year-old man from Caerphilly, a 21-year-old man from Ystrad Mynach [who was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker] and a 21-year-old woman from Bedwas.

“They are all currently in police custody.”
