Gwent Police have released CCTV images in an effort to trace the final movements of a woman who was found dead in Caerphilly town.

Adell Cowan, 43, was found at a property on Dol yr Eos, Mornington Meadows, at 12.10am on Sunday, October 18.

Police are looking for information on Ms Cowan’s movements from 8.30pm and midnight on Friday, October 16, and between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, October 17.

Anyone who may have seen Ms Cowan on Dol yr Eos, near the 7-11 store on Bedwas Road, or on Gwaun Newydd in Porset Park, has been urged to contact police.

CCTV images from the 7/11 store show Ms Cowan wearing a bright pink and blue coat, jeans and a patterned face mask.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, but has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Detective Superintendent Nick Wilkie, from Gwent Police’s major incident team, said: “As our enquiries into Adell’s death continue, we hope by releasing these CCTV images it may prompt someone’s memory and provide vital information to assist our investigation.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Adell or had contact with her in the days before her death to come forward.
