An 81-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman remain in hospital following a car crash on the A467 near the Full Moon roundabout in Crosskeys.

The pair were taken to the University Hospital Wales in Cardiff with “serious injuries”, according to Gwent Police, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A man in his 30s, who was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport following the crash, has since been discharged, Gwent Police confirmed.

The crash, which happened at around noon on Wednesday (November 4), involved a car and a van.
