A 74-year-old woman from Blackwood has been killed after being hit by a car.
The unnamed woman was struck by a blue Toyota Yaris on Bryn Road, in Pontllanfraith, at around 8.25am on Monday (November 9).
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses or any motorists who may have dash cam footage.
The stretch of road where it happened was closed for around three and a half hours.
