Bedwas and Trethomas has highest number of new Covid cases in Gwent

Bedwas and Trethomas currently has the highest rate of new Covid-19 cases in Gwent.

According to Public Health Wales, the Bedwas and Trethomas area saw 26 new cases between January 28 and February 3 – an increase of ten on the previous week.

That total gives Bedwas and Trethomas a seven-day case rate of 380.5 cases per 100,000 people – the highest in Caerphilly County Borough.

In the same seven-day period, Wales recorded an average weekly rolling rate of 116.4 cases per 100,000, while Caerphilly County Borough was slightly higher at 127.6.
