The A472 road between Nelson and Ystrad Mynach

The man who was killed in a car crash on the A472 road between Nelson and Ystrad Mynach has been named.

John Cull, 39, from Pontypool, was declared dead at the scene after his black Vauxhall Corsa came off the road at around 1.50am on Wednesday, February 3.

Gwent Police has said his family is being supported by specially trained officers.

Police believe the car was involved in a crash at around 9.15pm on Tuesday, February 2 and have appealed for witnesses, or anyone with dash cam footage of the area, to contact them.
