Castle Gate’s Robi Ahmed is aiming for another award

Following hot on the heels of three recent awards, Castle Gate Indian Restaurant has been shortlisted for another one.

It has been nominated for the category of Indian Restaurant of the Year at this year’s Welsh Restaurant Awards.

The restaurant, based on Castle View, Caerphilly, was recently named the South East Five Star Indian Restaurant of the Year as well as the overall Five Star Indian Restaurant of the Year at this year’s Welsh Asian Food Awards.

It was also named winner of the Curry Takeaway of the Year category.

Robi Ahmed, from Castle Gate, said: “I feel very proud that Castle Gate has been honoured with these awards and has been nominated for another.

“Our staff work really hard to provide an excellent service and I would like to thank all of our customers for their support.”

In 2018 Castle Gate won the category and is hoping to repeat its success on November 7.
