Castle Gate is ‘Contemporary Indian Restaurant of the Year’

An Indian restaurant is looking forward to a successful 2024 after scooping yet another award.

Castle Gate, based on Castle View, Caerphilly, has been named Contemporary Indian Restaurant of the Year (South Wales) in SME News’ annual Welsh Enterprise Awards.

The latest award adds to the clutch of wins from the past 12 months.

It was named the South East Five Star Indian Restaurant of the Year as well as the overall Five Star Indian Restaurant of the Year at this year’s Welsh Asian Food Awards. It was also named winner of the Curry Takeaway of the Year category.

Plus, it was also named Indian Restaurant of the Year at the Welsh Restaurant Awards 2022.

Robi Ahmed, from Castle Gate, said: “I feel very proud that Castle Gate has been honoured with this latest award.”

The restaurant is currently taking bookings.
