Caerphilly Miners Centre for the Community has welcomed Stellar Starts Paediatric Therapy into the fold of businesses operating from their Wellness Hub.

Suzie Shanahan, owner of Stellar Starts Paediatric Therapy, is a highly-skilled Children’s Physiotherapist with over 16 years of specialist experience working with infants, children and young people. Suzie is experienced in assessing and treating children with a wide variety of conditions and complex needs.

Previous experience includes work in the NHS and New Zealand healthcare system, working at Child Development Centres, Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools, children’s hospitals and Cerebral Palsy Cymru. Suzie has a specialist interest in neurodevelopment and neuro-disability and is particularly passionate about early intervention and supporting children and their families during Early Years Development. 

Stellar Starts Paediatric Therapy offers personalised therapy sessions, providing fun and engaging activities to support children and young person’s goals and aspirations. The emphasis is on empowering children and families with the knowledge and skills to improve their participation in everyday activities, at the same time as making the learning experience fun.  Suzie places value on collaboration with families and other health, education and social care professionals involved in your child or young person’s care to  achieve the best possible outcomes.

Stellar Starts Paediatric Therapy experienced in the management of children and young people with the following neurological and developmental conditions: Physiotherapy for Delayed Developmental Milestones, Head Turn preference and Torticollis, brain injury, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, genetic diagnosis, neuromuscular conditions, balance and coordination difficulties and many more.
